So thankful for all who serve!! Blessings to them. Very different homecoming for those who returned from Vietnam. Active Duty told not to wear uniforms when traveling because of being spit on and attacked. Any military IDs on cars had to be removed because cars were being keyed, windows broken. When I went overseas to Okinawa in 67, I traveled in uniform, coming back in 68, I was ordered to travel in civilian attire to hide my military Identity. Sick. That should never happen to any military member again. USMC, 65-68. 🇺🇸

I agree with that man. I was in the army in 1967 and now I am 75. The years change and we never had that welcome back from family and friends.

US Army retired. Served with Brits in Germany, Kosovo, and Middle East. When they walked into the room it felt great because you knew you could trust them: their training, their spirit, their skill, and their courage. Truer friendship has never existed between nations.

Wow. I went home on leave from Iraq in April 2009 and I went through Dallas. They were there for us too. It was amazing. This brings back some memories.

I served in the US Navy and completed some joint operations with our British Cousins. Great group of individuals. My grandfather was on the RMS Empress of Asia when it was sunk off Singapore in WW II. He was a POW.
